What exactly is a lease takeover?

A lease takeover is an amendment to an existing lease agreement where the current tenant transfers their rights and obligations to a new tenant. The terms of the original agreement (rent, period, etc.) typically remain unchanged. The landlord must consent.

Do I need the landlord's consent?

Yes. The landlord must agree to the lease transfer. Most landlords agree because they gain a reliable tenant and avoid vacancy. It's in everyone's interest.

How accurate is the cost calculator, and where does the estimate come from?

Rent in the calculator comes from the median of tenant reports in the district (or the city median where district data is thin), and utilities from current public Warsaw tariffs (czynsz, heating, electricity, water, garbage, internet). It is a planning estimate, not an exact bill: the real amount depends on the specific building, meters, and season.
